Friday Night Feats is a video contest from State Farm® that honors big moments in high school football. A total of $160,000 in prize money will be awarded to schools across the U.S. and parts of Canada to use however they'd like. A new football field? Books? Classroom supplies? The field is wide open. Just submit your video of a great football play and encourage your community to vote it to victory.

Eligibility. How to Enter. Submitters must visit Fridaynightfeats.com or the Friday Night Feats Facebook application to fill out the entry form, include the video link and indicate acceptance of the contest rules. At the time of video upload you will be required to designate a high school ("Designated High School") to receive a prize (if one is won) by listing the Designated High School's name, city and state, and to submit a digital video of footage of a play ("Play") involving such Designated High School that took place during the 2011 high school football season within one of the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, or the provinces of Alberta, New Brunswick or Ontario. ("Entry" and/or "Video"). Designated High School must be an accredited public, private, or parochial school. You must also submit a description that includes up to three (3) sentences along with your Entry, describing what made this an exceptional play. All written submissions must be in English. Your description will not be separately judged as part of the Entry; however, your description of the Entry contributes to the judging score as set forth below. All Entries must be in keeping with Sponsor’s image, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor shall have the right, but no obligation, to review the Entries for compliance with these entry requirements. At the judges' discretion, entries including unsuitable content or that are in, or alleged to be in, violation of third party rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights) will be disqualified. You may submit a video in the Contest as many times as you wish; however, each entry must be of a different Play and be submitted separately and be in accordance with the terms and conditions stated herein. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, illegible, unreadable, misdirected or late Entry submissions. With respect to the Website or Entry, Sponsor assumes no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures of any kinds, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. ENTRIES POSTED TO THE WEBSITE WERE NOT EDITED BY SPONSOR AND ARE THE VIEWS/OPINIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL SUBMITTER AND DO NOT REFLECT THE VIEWS OF SPONSOR IN ANY MANNER. WINNER SELECTION
Consumer Voting
Videos will be posted on the Website in two groups in order to provide an opportunity for all videos to be voted on fairly – without length of time posted benefitting one video too heavily over another. The “first half” is between 12:00:01 A.M. EDT, August 25, 2011, and 11:59:59 P.M. EDT, October 6, 2011. The “second half” is between 12:00:01 A.M. EDT, October 10, 2011, and 11:59:59 P.M. EST, November 28, 2011. Within each half, the two (2) videos from each of the thirteen (13) State Farm Zones with the highest number of votes within that zone by 11:59:59 P.M. ET of the correlating end date will be considered a "finalist nominee". Each person is limited to one vote per video per day.
The thirteen (13) State Farm Zones are: California, Canada (Provinces of Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario), Central (Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Oklahoma), Florida, Great Lakes (Illinois, Indiana and Michigan), Great Western (Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming), Heartland (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin), Mid-America (Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee) Mid-Atlantic (District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia), Northeast (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont), PACNW (Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington), Southern (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina) and Texas.
In the event of a tie between two or more entries with an identical number of votes, the entry receiving the most views will be deemed a finalist nominee. Only one finalist nominee per school. Sponsor is not responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the voting, and Submitters agree that Sponsor is not liable for any malfunctions, inaccuracies, or errors related to the voting or voting process or the results of the consumer voting or voting process.
Judging
Once the twenty-six (26) nominees in each half are identified (totaling fifty-two (52) nominees), the top ten (10) finalist videos will be determined based on the decision of a qualified panel of judges, appointed by Sponsor, who will judge all entries on the following criteria: "wow" factor (50%) (#1), athleticism of Play (25%) (#2), impact of Play (15%) (#3), creativity, including written entry, title and/or brief description (5%) (#4), and number of votes (5%) (#5). In the event of a tie, criteria #2 (athleticism of the Play) will be the determining factor. These finalists will be announced on or about December 8, 2011.
Finalists
Once the judges have determined the ten (10) finalists, fans again will have the opportunity to vote. The three videos earning the highest number of votes by 11:59:59 P.M. EST, December 16, 2011, (each person is limited to one vote per video per day) will be designated the winners of the "First Prize", "Second Prize" and "Third Prize" in order to select one (1) First Prize, one (1) Second Prize and one (1) Third Prize winning Video, subject to verification. In the event of a tie, tie breaker will be based upon the most votes received by the fans. The Submitters of the First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize winning videos will be notified via their e-mail account on or about December19, 2011.
Prizes. All prizes will be awarded to the winning High Schools listed in conjunction with the designated Entry. One (1) First Prize $15,000. One (1) Second Prize: $10,000. One (1) Third Prize: $5,000. In addition, each finalist nominee (total of 52 prizes) will be awarded $2,500. Prize checks will be formally awarded by State Farm to the winning Designated High School on a date to be designated by Sponsor. Checks will be paid to the general fund of the Designated High School, and no checks will be paid in the name of any school's football program.
Limit one finalist nominee prize per Designated High School. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Finalist Nominee prizes ($2,500) may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible Entries are submitted for that zone. Sufficient number of entries is defined as a minimum of two entries (2) per zone, for each of the two Consumer Rating Periods. In the event there are an insufficient number of entries for a zone, no prize will be awarded for that zone and Consumer Rating Period.
Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. All prize winners are subject to confirmation and verification of eligibility by Administrators and Sponsor. Potential prize winning Designated High Schools will be notified via e-mail upon on or about December 19, 2011. Potential winning Designated High Schools, and the corresponding Submitter, will be required to sign an Affidavit and Release and return it within seven (7) business days of prize notification or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. By submitting an Entry, each Submitter agrees, and by accepting a prize, each Designated High School agrees, to allow and hereby grants to Sponsor, its affiliates and designees the right to use of his/her/its name and Entry (as applicable), in full or in part, in any media, now known or hereafter created, for any and all purposes, without compensation or acknowledgement, including, but not limited to promotional and advertising purposes, except where prohibited.
General Terms and Conditions. All prizes are non-transferable and will only be awarded in the name of a verified Designated High School. Winning schools may use the prize money as they deem appropriate, which may include support for the school’s athletic department. No substitution of a prize is permitted. If any Contest prize notice or Contest prize is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winning Designated High School's prize information provided is unintelligible or incorrect, prize will be forfeited. By participating in the Contest, Submitter agrees, and by accepting a prize, Designated High School agrees, to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor, Weber Shandwick, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiary companies, distributors, sales representatives, retailers, advertising, sales promotion and judging agencies and the employees, directors, officers and agents of each ("Sponsor and Administrators") from and against any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, harm, damage (including but not limited to property damage, personal injury and/or death), claims, actions, costs and expenses (including without limitation, all attorney’s fees and court costs) arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with his/her participation in the Contest, use of the Entry, acceptance, possession or use/misuse of the prize or participation in any prize-related activity. Winning Designated High Schools are solely responsible for any local, state, provincial or federal income taxes on prizes (if any). Sponsor reserves the right to take such action as it deems necessary to enforce these Official Rules and ensure the fair operation of the Contest, including without limitation, barring and disqualifying participants who do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering Submitters agree, and by accepting a prize Designated High Schools agree, that (1) all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be (i) governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Illinois without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, (ii) resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois or the appropriate Illinois state court; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs, but in no event including attorneys' fees, disbursements or court costs; and (3) under no circumstances will Submitter or Designated High School be permitted to obtain awards for, and Submitter and Designated High School hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket costs.
Additional Warranties and Indemnity. Anyone submitting Entries to this Contest warrants and represents that the Entry submitted is an original work of the Submitter and cannot include footage recorded from any broadcast in any media (e.g., television, Internet, or motion picture) without the express written consent of owner of the copyright in that footage as well as the broadcast entity; has not won previous awards; has not been published previously; and that publication of the Entry via various media including Web posting, will not infringe on any third party rights (e.g., music, trademarked/branded clothing). By entering this Contest, each Submitter agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless, Sponsor and Administrators from any claims related thereto.
Additional Terms and Disclaimers. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Website or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest, in its entirety, if the Contest cannot be operated as planned or should virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Sponsor's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor and Administrators are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any technical or human errors, which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Contest. WINNER SELECTION
Consumer Voting
Videos will be posted on the Website in two groups in order to provide an opportunity for all videos to be voted on fairly – without length of time posted benefitting one video too heavily over another. The “first half” is between 12:00:01 A.M. EDT, August 25, 2011, and 11:59:59 P.M. EDT, October 6, 2011. The “second half” is between 12:00:01 A.M. EDT, October 10, 2011, and 11:59:59 P.M. EST, November 28, 2011. Within each half, the two (2) videos from each of the thirteen (13) State Farm Zones with the highest number of votes within that zone by 11:59:59 P.M. ET of the correlating end date will be considered a "finalist nominee". Each person is limited to one vote per video per day.
The thirteen (13) State Farm Zones are: California, Canada (Provinces of Alberta, New Brunswick and Ontario), Central (Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Oklahoma), Florida, Great Lakes (Illinois, Indiana and Michigan), Great Western (Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming), Heartland (Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin), Mid-America (Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee) Mid-Atlantic (District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia), Northeast (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont), PACNW (Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington), Southern (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina) and Texas.
In the event of a tie between two or more entries with an identical number of votes, the entry receiving the most views will be deemed a finalist nominee. Only one finalist nominee per school. Sponsor is not responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the voting, and Submitters agree that Sponsor is not liable for any malfunctions, inaccuracies, or errors related to the voting or voting process or the results of the consumer voting or voting process.
Judging
Once the twenty-six (26) nominees in each half are identified (totaling fifty-two (52) nominees), the top ten (10) finalist videos will be determined based on the decision of a qualified panel of judges, appointed by Sponsor, who will judge all entries on the following criteria: "wow" factor (50%) (#1), athleticism of Play (25%) (#2), impact of Play (15%) (#3), creativity, including written entry, title and/or brief description (5%) (#4), and number of votes (5%) (#5). In the event of a tie, criteria #2 (athleticism of the Play) will be the determining factor. These finalists will be announced on or about December 8, 2011.
Finalists
Once the judges have determined the ten (10) finalists, fans again will have the opportunity to vote. The three videos earning the highest number of votes by 11:59:59 P.M. EST, December 16, 2011, (each person is limited to one vote per video per day) will be designated the winners of the "First Prize", "Second Prize" and "Third Prize" in order to select one (1) First Prize, one (1) Second Prize and one (1) Third Prize winning Video, subject to verification. In the event of a tie, tie breaker will be based upon the most votes received by the fans. The Submitters of the First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize winning videos will be notified via their e-mail account on or about December19, 2011.
Prizes. All prizes will be awarded to the winning High Schools listed in conjunction with the designated Entry. One (1) First Prize $15,000. One (1) Second Prize: $10,000. One (1) Third Prize: $5,000. In addition, each finalist nominee (total of 52 prizes) will be awarded $2,500. Prize checks will be formally awarded by State Farm to the winning Designated High School on a date to be designated by Sponsor. Checks will be paid to the general fund of the Designated High School, and no checks will be paid in the name of any school's football program.
Limit one finalist nominee prize per Designated High School. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Finalist Nominee prizes ($2,500) may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible Entries are submitted for that zone. Sufficient number of entries is defined as a minimum of two entries (2) per zone, for each of the two Consumer Rating Periods. In the event there are an insufficient number of entries for a zone, no prize will be awarded for that zone and Consumer Rating Period.
Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. All prize winners are subject to confirmation and verification of eligibility by Administrators and Sponsor. Potential prize winning Designated High Schools will be notified via e-mail upon on or about December 19, 2011. Potential winning Designated High Schools, and the corresponding Submitter, will be required to sign an Affidavit and Release and return it within seven (7) business days of prize notification or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. By submitting an Entry, each Submitter agrees, and by accepting a prize, each Designated High School agrees, to allow and hereby grants to Sponsor, its affiliates and designees the right to use of his/her/its name and Entry (as applicable), in full or in part, in any media, now known or hereafter created, for any and all purposes, without compensation or acknowledgement, including, but not limited to promotional and advertising purposes, except where prohibited.
General Terms and Conditions. All prizes are non-transferable and will only be awarded in the name of a verified Designated High School. Winning schools may use the prize money as they deem appropriate, which may include support for the school’s athletic department. No substitution of a prize is permitted. If any Contest prize notice or Contest prize is returned as undeliverable, or if potential winning Designated High School's prize information provided is unintelligible or incorrect, prize will be forfeited. By participating in the Contest, Submitter agrees, and by accepting a prize, Designated High School agrees, to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor, Weber Shandwick, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiary companies, distributors, sales representatives, retailers, advertising, sales promotion and judging agencies and the employees, directors, officers and agents of each ("Sponsor and Administrators") from and against any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, harm, damage (including but not limited to property damage, personal injury and/or death), claims, actions, costs and expenses (including without limitation, all attorney’s fees and court costs) arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with his/her participation in the Contest, use of the Entry, acceptance, possession or use/misuse of the prize or participation in any prize-related activity. Winning Designated High Schools are solely responsible for any local, state, provincial or federal income taxes on prizes (if any). Sponsor reserves the right to take such action as it deems necessary to enforce these Official Rules and ensure the fair operation of the Contest, including without limitation, barring and disqualifying participants who do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering Submitters agree, and by accepting a prize Designated High Schools agree, that (1) all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be (i) governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Illinois without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, (ii) resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois or the appropriate Illinois state court; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs, but in no event including attorneys' fees, disbursements or court costs; and (3) under no circumstances will Submitter or Designated High School be permitted to obtain awards for, and Submitter and Designated High School hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket costs.
Additional Warranties and Indemnity. Anyone submitting Entries to this Contest warrants and represents that the Entry submitted is an original work of the Submitter and cannot include footage recorded from any broadcast in any media (e.g., television, Internet, or motion picture) without the express written consent of owner of the copyright in that footage as well as the broadcast entity; has not won previous awards; has not been published previously; and that publication of the Entry via various media including Web posting, will not infringe on any third party rights (e.g., music, trademarked/branded clothing). By entering this Contest, each Submitter agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless, Sponsor and Administrators from any claims related thereto.
Additional Terms and Disclaimers. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Website or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest, in its entirety, if the Contest cannot be operated as planned or should virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Sponsor's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor and Administrators are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any technical or human errors, which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Contest. The Sponsor and Administrators are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in the printing or posting of the offer or Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Sponsor and Administrators will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATORS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE CONTEST. SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATORS DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF ANY OF THE PRIZES.
